Archiving an Outgoing DipNote to SMART

As a requirement to be able to archive to SMART, the user must be connected via OpenNet.

Steps to Archive a DipNote

• Upload an official attachment to the DipNote.
• Select Publish Only to automatically upload to SMART.
  • REMEMBER, you must be connected to OpenNet.
• Once the upload is successful, the application will attempt to retrieve the MRN. 

• An MRN will automatically be returned and saved to the system.

Not On OpenNet.  Now What?

If a user is connected via Internet or the diplomatic note does not have an official attachment uploaded, the status of the diplomatic note will update to Published, but no MRN will be saved.
