When a user is connected via DIN/Internet, or when a user without an active SMART account publishes a note, the note’s status will be updated to 'PUBLISHED.'

However, if the DipNotes application is unable to establish a connection with the SMART Server, the SMART status of the note will change to 'SMART Pending,' indicating that the note has not yet been archived to the SMART Server.

Any drafter within the section or office, or the post administrator, may archive the published note, as long as drafters have an active SMART account and are connected via OpenNet, GoVirtual, or GoDesktop.

From the left navigation menu, select Outgoing DipNotes -> My Outgoing DipNotes.

Once redirected to the My Outgoing DipNotes page, locate the desired outgoing note from the list.

The note's status should display as Published, with the SMART status indicating SMART Pending.

Click on the View or Eye icon to proceed.

Archiving the Note to the SMART Server

On the Viewing Outgoing DipNote <DipNote Number> page, locate the MRN field and click on the ARCHIVE TO SMART button.

This will trigger the application to connect to the SMART Server, archive the note and retrieve the MRN.

Alternatively, the user may manually enter the MRN in the designated textbox if an attempt to archive the note directly through the SMART Server or website.
