ADS will allow post Service Providers to create several groups, add members to these groups, remove members from the group and set permissions for the group. This article explains the steps to add and set permission for groups.
How can a SP create groups
Login to ADS application as a Service Provider. The “Select Organization” drop down, shows all the Post where I’m a SP. Select a Post and then “Post Management” menu from the right as shown in Figure-1 below.
The Post Overview page will be displayed as in Figure-2 below. From this page, select “Manage Permissions” menu from the left.
The ADS application will display the Post Permissions (New Delhi Permissions) page as in Figure-3 below. The “Service Provider Groups” section of this page, display all the current groups created for this Post. Please see Figure-3 below. To add a new group, select the “Add New Group” link. In the modal dialog, name the group and select the create button.
Set the Permissions of a group
Once the group is created, the ADS application displays the “Service Provider Group Permissions” page. In this page we can set the permissions for the newly created group. Please see Figure-4 below.
When I click on the “Edit” button, the applications will allow me to set permissions for each sections or individual items in the sections by selecting the check-boxes next to it. Please see Figure-5 below. The “Check All” button will select and check-mark all the items and “Uncheck All” button will deselect and uncheck all the permission items. When I select the “Update” button, the permissions for the group is set and saved.
ADS application will allow me to set or reset permission for an already created group. From the Post Permissions (New Delhi Permissions) page (Please see Figure-3 in this document), select the “Permissions” image link. This action will displays the “Service Provider Group Permissions” page, where I can set/reset the permissions for the group.
