What Are Update Status in ADS Application and How Can It Be Set? Follow

Pre-requisites: Update status can be set for Pre-Arrival, Check-In and Check-out Assignments. So there should be active PCS assignment in a post.

Introduction

A PCS can have the following status:

  • Pre-Arrival
  • Checking-In
  • Encumbered
  • Checking-Out
  • Check-Out
  • Closed

A Service Provider (SP) with the right permission can access and update the status of a PCS assignment. The Update Status feature will allow a SP to update the status of a PCS Request outside of the status update from the PCS Task completion workflow. Currently, the Update status feature is decoupled from the PCS workflow status update.

All Status for a PCS Assignment

Pre-Arrival Status: When a PCS request is made and approved by SP or system admin, a PCS record item is created in the Pre-Arrival queue. This PCS item will have the status “Pre-Arrival”. Please see Figure-1 below

Checking-In Status: When the status is updated to “Check-In” by the Post SP, a record item is created in “Check-In” queue. Also, the ADS will flag the employee as “Arrived” in the Check-In queue page and the in the employee page. Please see Figure-2 below

Encumbered Status: When the status is updated to “Encumbered” by the Post SP, the record item is removed from the “Check-In” queue as the employee has already arrived and is ready for work. Now the employee’s PCS can be seen only from the employee page. Please Figure-3 below.

Checking-Out Status: When the status is updated to “Checking-Out” by the Post SP, a record item is created in “Check-Out” queue. Please see Figure-4 below. Now the employee can start the process of checking out from the post.

Checked-Out Status: When the status is updated to “Checked-Out” by the Post SP, the record item is removed from “Check-Out” queue. The record can now be seen from the employee profile with status “Checked-Out”. Please see Figure-5 below.

Closed Status: When the status is updated to “Closed” by the Post SP, the record item is removed from “Employee” queue. The record can now be seen only by a system admin.

How do you update the Status of a PCS Assignment?

From the Service Provider dashboard, a SP can access the employee Queue for the post. The “Update Status” can be accessed when the user clicks on the ellipses image. Please the Figure-6 below.

The “Update Assignment” Status model dialog will be displayed as in Figure-7 below.
