What are different Permissions and their Grouping in ADS? Follow

Introduction

In ADS any user’s permission can be managed using the Permission management page. The permissions can be configured at the following 4 levels:

  • Post Management Permissions 
  • Mission Management Permissions 
  • Bureau Management Permissions 
  • Users’ Permission  

Mission Permissions can be set independently or can be inherited from Bureau permissions. Similarly Post Permissions can be set independently or can be inherited from the Mission’s permissions. User Permissions can be set independently or can be inherited from a group in Post permissions. 

The Figure-1 below shows all of the permissions at the Post level for an employee.

The ADS permissions are grouped into the following groups or categories. 

  • Configuration Permissions 
  • Personnel Permission  
  • Task Permissions 
  • Employee Data Permissions 
  • Assignment Data Permissions 

Configuration Permissions 

The following 4 permissions are grouped under “Configuration Permissions”. A user can have permissions to all 4 items or can have permissions to each individual item. Please see Figure-2 below. 

  1. Manage Sections: When this permission is set, the user will be able to access the different sections of a Post using the menu Post Management Dashboard -> Manage Sections 
  1. Manage Work Locations: When this permission is set, the user will be able to Add, Update, View and Delete Work Locations using the menu Service Provider Dashboard -> Work Locations 
  1. Manage Schools: When this permission is set, the user will be able to Add, Update, View and Delete Schools using the menu Service Provider Dashboard -> Schools 
  1. Manage Sponsors: When this permission is set, the user will be able to Add, Update, View and Delete Sponsors using the menu Service Provider Dashboard -> Sponsors

 Personnel Permissions

  • Manage Assignments: When this permission is set, the following menus will be available to the user from the service provider dashboard:
    • Pending PCS Requests 
    • Pending Registrations 
    • New PCS

Also the User will be able to “Update Assignment status” and “Remove assignment” from the Post process pages. Please see Figure-4 below

  • Manage Assignment DatesWhen this permission is set, the user will be able Set/Reset “Arrival Date” and “Departure date” for an assignment. 

 

  • Manage Assignment Processes: When this permission is set, the user will be able to Complete, Reset and Print a Pre-Arrival, Check-In and Check-Out processes for an assignment. Please see Figure-5 below.

  • Manage Account Invitations: When this permission is set, the user will be able to initiate New Account Invitations, View Existing Account Invitations, Edit, Delete and Approve Account Invitations for a Post. The “Account Invitations” menu will be visible from Service Provider Dashboard -> Account Invitations 

 

  • Manage Positions: When this permission is set, the user will be able to Add, Update, View and Delete Post Positions using the menu Service Provider Dashboard -> PositionsAlso, the user should be able to change the Assignee’s Position from the Assignment details page. 

 

  • Manage Groups and Permissions: When this permission is set, the user will be able to Add, View, and Delete Permissions groups for a Post. Also, the user will be able to add new users to groups, delete users from a group, set permissions for a group. When this permission is set, the user will be able to add and update individual permissions for a Post. The “Manage Groups and Permissions” menu will be visible from Post Management Dashboard -> Mange Permissions 

Task Permissions 

The following 4 permissions are grouped under “Task Permissions”. A user can have permissions for all 4 items or can have permissions for each individual items. Please see Figure-6 below. 

  • Manage Process: When this permission is set, the user will be able to Add, Update, Archive, View Pre-Arrival Process, Check-In Process and Check-Out Process using the menu Post Management Dashboard -> Process Management menus (Pre-Arrival, Check-In, Check-Out) . This permission will allow the users to add and configure Sub-processes and Tasks for the above 3 process types.

 

  • Manage Milestones: When this permission is set, the user will be able to Add, Update, View and Delete Process Milestones using the menu Post Management Dashboard -> Manage Milestones  

 

  • Manage Forms: When this permission is set, the user will be able to Add a Form, Import a Form, View Form, Create a version of a Form and Archive a Form using the menu Post Management Dashboard -> Manage Forms 

 

  • Manage Assignment Fields: When this permission is set, the user will be able to Add, Update, View and Delete an Assignment Field using the menu Post Management Dashboard -> Manage Assignment Fields. The Assignment fields created are used for employee assignment and can be accessed from employee Assignment details page.

Employee Data Permissions

The following 5 permissions are grouped under “Employee Data Permissions”. A user can have permissions to all 5 items or can have permissions to each individual items  

  • View Identification Data: When this permission is set, the user will be able to View the “Employee Profile” data including Identification, Appearance, Passports and Address summary from Assignment Details page and Employee’s profile page. 

 

  • Edit Identification DataWhen this permission is set, the user will be able to View and Update the “Employee Profile” data including Identification, Appearance, Passports and Address summary from Assignment Details page and Employee’s profile page. 

 

  • View Employment DataWhen this permission is set, the user will be able to View and Update the “Employee Profile -> Employment” data. Please the Figure-7 below

  • View Contact Data When this permission is set, the user will be able to view Employee’s and Employee’s Post household members Phone numbers and Email addresses. The menu “ENS Information” will be visible from the Assignment Details page. 

 

  • View Household DataWhen this permission is set, the user will be able view Employee Profile, Household, Alternate Locations, Vehicles and Pets menus as in the Figure-below. The user will be able to add and update Household, Alternate Locations, Vehicle and Pet information. The user can see the above menus from the Assignment Details page and from the Employee profile page.

Assignment Data Permissions 

The following 2 permissions are grouped under “Assignment Data Permissions”. A user can have permissions for both items or can have permissions for each individual items.   

  • View Assignment Data: When this permission is set, the user will be able to see the “Assignment Fields menu from the Assignment Details page. Please see Figure-below:

  • View Assignment Reports:  When this permission is set, the user will be able to see the ENS Contacts Reports and ENS Critical Event Reports from the Service Provider Dashboard. Please see Figure-10 below:
