A Process (Pre-Arrival, Check-In, Check-Out) needs to be published before it can be used in an assignment.
There are 3 types of process that can be created in ADS application:
- Pre-Arrival Process
- Check-In Process
- Check-Out Process
When a Post Service Provider approves a registration (“Arrivals & New Hires” or “Incumbent & Departures”), the SP needs to select a Pre-Arrival and Check-in Processes before approval. Also, when a New PCS is submitted for approval, the Service Provider should select the Pre-Arrival and Check-in Processes before it can be approved.
A Process (Pre-Arrival, Check-In, Check-Out) must be published so that a SP can select it during the Registration Approval or PCS approval.
How can I publish any Process?
A Service Provider (SP) or a user with “Manage Process” permissions can publish a Process (Pre-Arrival, Check-In, Check-Out) in the ADS Application. With the Service Provider role, a user can access the “Post Management -> Pre-Arrival” feature in the application. Please see Figure-1 below.
The “Managing Process” page has a list of all Pre-Arrival Processes with Name, Total Versions, Published Versions and Last Published details about the processes. To publish any process, select the “Edit” image for that item. The “Edit Process” page will be displayed as in Figure-2 below.
When the “Publish” button is selected, the model dialog is displayed with the message “Are you sure you want to publish this Process Version?”. When it is confirmed, the selected Process is published (Please see Figure-3 below), and are available for use within the ADS application.
