Inspection Types

ATLAS Housing facilitates the creation of different inspection types that will help service providers and local administrators record any issues reported by USDHs at their residences.

Our goal is to have a space within ATLAS Housing that allows our users to digitally file any incident(s) that occur in their Housing Pool Residences. (NOTE: ATLAS Housing is not linked to GMMS, My Services, or any other system that creates work orders.)

There are four (4) types of inspections:

  • Arrival/Walk-Through Inspection: Occurs at least two weeks after a USDH's arrival date at Post.
  • Final Inspection: Cleaning and final inspection of residence.  Occurs one day prior to USDH arrival at Post.
  • Post-Departure Inspection: Completed the day of departure.  Inspection confirms no additional damage at the residence.
  • Pre-Departure: Inspection takes place at least one month before the departure date of the USDH from Post.

Inspection Configuration

From the Configuration Menu on the left side of the screen, click on 'Inspection Types.'  Here, you may customize, edit, reset, and add new inspections.  You may also mark a residence as "active" to be used by the Service Providers at Post.

Adding and Editing Inspections

To add a New Inspection, click on 'Add Inspection;' enter the inspection name and description.  If this will be an ongoing inspection, you will need to activate it by clicking on 'Active,' and then 'Save.'

Once saved, the inspection will appear on the list along with the default inspections.

To edit the name and description of the default inspections, click the 'Edit' icon (square with pen).  (See Image 1)
