Creating and Using Phone Trees in ATLAS Directory Follow

ATLAS Directory lists all contacts at a Mission or Post along with their contact information.  Users with Org Chart Manager and Directory Admin roles can create and edit Org Charts/Phone Trees from the Administration drop down menu.

Go to Administration-->Phone Trees.

Create New

Select the 'Create New' icon.

To edit the Phone Tree Settings, enter the following information in the space provided:

  • Name: Enter a name for the Phone Tree
  • Post(s): Enter target Post for multi-posts Missions
  • Section(s): Enter sections to be included 
  • Chart Type: Select chart type (Org Chart or Phone Tree)
  • Active: Select if you wish to leave the phone tree Inactive (draft mode) or Active
  • Import Wizard:
    • Select "Import Employees with Position" to ensure records without a position set are not imported.
    • Select "Import All Employees" to import all records within the Post and previously selected Sections.

To edit the Display Properties, enter the following information in the space provided:

  • Title: Select what to show in the Title Field from the dropdown options (Figure -4)
  • Detail 1: Select what to show in the Title Field from the dropdown options (Figure -4)
  • Detail 2: Select what to show in the Title Field from the dropdown options (Figure -4)
  • Detail 3: Select what to show in the Title Field from the dropdown options (Figure -4)
  • Detail 4: Select what to show in the Title Field from the dropdown options (Figure -4)
  • Add pictures: Toggle to blue to select to show Contact Card Pictures (Figure -5)

To view the names in the Phone Tree as a list, select the 'Phone Tree Names' tab.  (Figure -6)

The Phone Tree Preview Tab allows users to preview the virtual tree and gives users the ability to export (PDF, JPG).  To preview the Phone Tree, select the 'Phone Tree Preview' tab. (Figure -7)

To export the chart, select the 'Export' tab.

To add an employee to the Phone Tree, select 'Add Employee,' enter the employee information, and select 'Add Employee' again to complete the process.  (Figure -9 and -10)
