Introduction

This article explains the Dashboard feature within the ATLAS Welkom Center application. The Dashboard is the landing page users see immediately after logging in to the application.

Dashboard Overview

The Dashboard is designed with a clean, tile-based layout and segmented areas that provide fast access to the most relevant content. Here's a breakdown of each section:

Post Header

Navigation Menu: Access site-wide features including:

  • Welkom Center Dashboard
  • Content Management (visible based on the user's access role)
  • Site Access (visible based on the user's access role)
  • Recent Activity
  • User Profile

Post Name Dropdown: Defaults to the user's assigned Post name. The user can also view and switch to other active Posts using this dropdown.

Request Non-State Account: A button for requesting access on behalf of a non-State Department user.

Visual Banner & Tips

Post Name and Image: A visual representation of your assigned post, typically showing a landmark, cityscape, or other recognizable feature.

Helpful Tips: A right-hand panel showing location-specific tips.

Air Quality Index (AQI): Real-time environmental data with safety advisories.

Important Message

This section displays simple announcements or alerts that require immediate attention. Examples include:

  • Embassy closures
  • Security warnings
  • Health or travel advisories

⚠️ Note: If the Important Message field is left blank, the Important Message section will be hidden from the Dashboard and will not appear to users.

Welcome Message

This is an introductory section that provides background information about the Post, including its diplomatic significance, local context, and essential advice for newly arrived personnel and family members. It serves to help users quickly understand their new environment and what to expect during their assignment.

Categories

This section shows all publicly available topics grouped under each main category. It helps users easily find and access information relevant to their Post.

This section displays recent newsletters shared by the Community Liaison Office (CLO) or Embassy Management. These newsletters provide important updates, announcements, and information relevant to the Post.

Each newsletter entry includes:

  • Title: The name or subject of the newsletter.
