Release Notes v1.3.13

New Features And Enhancements:

  • Email Routing via Amazon SES

All outgoing emails from ATLAS Firma are now routed through Amazon Simple Email Service (SES).

  • PDF Metadata Update

The metadata field for PDF Producer has been updated to display "ATLAS Firma."

  • Handling of Adobe Signed Fields

When a user uploads a form containing actual Adobe Signed Fields (i.e., fields that have already been signed, not just signature placeholders), ATLAS Firma now issues a warning that ATLAS Firma-signed version will not retain those signatures (that were signed outside ATLAS Firma) in the form. Blank, non-signed Adobe Signature fields do not cause any issues.

  • Guidance on Adobe-Signed Documents

While ATLAS Firma cannot combine different electronic signing technologies, users can "flatten" an Adobe-signed document by printing it to the "Microsoft Print to PDF" virtual printer. The resulting flattened file preserves the visual appearance of the electronic signature but removes the electronic signature data, allowing it to be uploaded and processed in ATLAS Firma

  • AWS SES Email Gateway Notes
    • The State Department email server marks all emails originating from outside OpenNet (including those sent via Amazon AWS) with an [External] tag.
    • The sender address has changed from ATLAS Firma <noreply@firma.state.gov> to no-reply@adgmail.state.gov
    • The said changes above, however, resulted in:
      • Some emails were not routed successfully.
      • Some emails were routed successfully, but users had difficulty locating them
