Introduction
The Manage Holidays/Closures section allows administrators to handle the schedule of official holidays and closures. This tool helps ensure that important dates are recorded and that the organization is kept informed about upcoming holidays and closures.
Accessing the Directory Configuration
Navigate to Administration > Manage Holidays/Closures.
Viewing Holidays
This page displays all holidays and closures for the selected year. To change the year, users can utilize the Year dropdown.
For each holiday, the following details are listed:

- Name (ex. New Year’s Day, Memorial Day)
- Type (ex. Federal Holiday, Local Holiday)
- Duration (All day or specific hours)
Creating a New Holiday
To create a new holiday, click the Create New button in the upper-right corner.
Enter the details of the new holiday.
- Closure Name: Enter the name of the holiday or closure (ex. "Christmas Holiday").
- Closure Type: Choose the type of closure from the dropdown menu (ex. Local Holiday, Federal Holiday).
- Closure Duration: Select the duration for the closure (ex. All Day).
- Date: Use the date picker to select the date of the holiday.
- Only for Post: Select the location where the closure applies (ex. Oslo, etc.).
Once you have completed the form, click the Save button to add the holiday to the calendar. If you do not wish to save the changes, click Cancel to discard any modifications.
Editing Holiday Details
To modify a holiday, click the Edit icon (pencil) next to the holiday name you want to modify.
Users can update the Closure Name, Closure Type, Closure Duration, Date, and the Post.
Click Save to apply the changes. If you do not wish to save the changes, click Cancel to discard any modifications.
Importing Holidays
To quickly add holidays from another source, click on the Import button.
Users can import:
- Federal Holidays
- Custom holiday data from an ICS file
Viewing Calendar Groups
To view predefined calendar groups, navigate to the Calendar Groups button. Here, users will see a list of predefined calendar groups.
Each calendar group contains information about:
- Name: The name of the calendar group.
- Calendars Included: The posts that are part of the group (ex. Athens, Oslo, Brussels, or Frankfurt).
- Last Modified: The last update date and the user who made the changes.
Viewing and Navigating the Calendar
Once holidays or closures are added, they will appear in the main calendar. To view the calendar, click on the Calendar icon.
The calendar is organized by Calendar Group or other defined groups.
Additional Tips:
- Customize Columns: The platform allows you to customize the columns displayed on the holiday or directory list for a more tailored view.
- Batch Operations: Selecting multiple contacts or holidays allows for efficient bulk actions like editing or exporting.
- Exporting Holiday Data: Click the Export button to download a list of holidays. Choose from various export formats such as CSV or Excel to generate reports or share data.
