Introduction
The Directory Configuration module equips Directory Administrators with the ability to customize and adjust settings to optimize organizational functions. This module includes multiple tabs, each dedicated to different functionalities, allowing users to fine-tune their system preferences.
Accessing the Organizations Tab
Navigate to Administration > Directory Configuration.
This tab enables you to configure Directory settings specific to each Organization. It displays important information such as:
- Switchboard Numbers: Contact numbers for the Organization's Switchboard.
- Switchboard Hours: Operational hours of the Switchboard (ex. M–F 9–5).
- SAFE Sync: Settings for synchronizing data between SAFE and ATLAS Directory.
- Enabled Modules: Shows which modules are currently active, such as ICASS Workload.
To configure additional settings, go to the Organizations tab, select the organization, and click the Edit button.
Configuration Tab
The Configuration Tab allows Directory Administrators to manage and customize essential directory settings to align with organizational requirements.
General Settings
- Show TDY in Dashboard: Toggle this switch to display TDY (Temporary Duty) assignments on the dashboard.
- Quick Reference List: Select an option from the dropdown for quick access to pre-configured Quick Reference List.
Days/Hours of Operation
This section allows you to configure operational hours for each day of the week.
- Select Opening and Closing Times: Configure operational hours by entering the opening and closing times for each day.
Setup Information
This section displays essential details about the location and country settings.
- Country: Displays the country name.
- Full Name: Displays the full name of the country.

Phone Code: The country’s international dialing code.
- ISO2: Two-letter country code.
- ISO3: Three-letter country code.
Post Profile Tab
This tab allows you to customize post-specific settings.
- Type: Specify the type of institution from the dropdown menu.
- Address: Enter the full physical address.
- Phone Number: Provide the complete phone number, including the country code.
- Fax Number: Enter the fax number, or leave it blank if not applicable.
- Website URL: Input the official website URL for the organization.
- GPS Coordinates: Enter the geographical location using latitude and longitude, or use the Search on Map button to verify the location.
- Time Zone: Select the appropriate time zone for the location
Switchboard Tab
This tab displays the switchboard information, instructions, and configuration for prefixes.
Switchboard Information
- Number: Enter the primary switchboard number, including the country code.
- Hours: Specify the operating days and times.
- Area Code: Provide the region's area code.
- Switchboard Instruction: Add instructions and guidance for using the switchboard.
Switchboard Prefix
- Country: Select the country for the switchboard prefix.
- Number: Enter the prefix used for switchboard extensions.
- Selector: Choose the selector to manage extensions.
- Pause Dialing: Configure a pause before dialing the next part of a number.
- Default Number: Set the desired default switchboard extension or number.
Add/Delete Entries
- Add: Create a new entry.
- Delete: Remove an existing entry.
SAFE Tab
The SAFE tab is designed to manage and configure linked organizations, posts, and household member settings.
The SAFE tab displays a table of linked organizations with the following columns:
- SAFE Org.: Name of the linked SAFE organization.
- SAFE Posts: Post name associated with the organization.
- Household Members: Indicates if household members are included (toggle switch).
- Last Updated: Date of the last modification.
Additionally, action buttons are available at the top:
- Excel, CSV, Copy: Export or copy the data.
- Columns: Customize the columns displayed in the table.
Modules Tab
Under the Modules tab, you can manage additional directory modules.
- ICASS Countable Devices: Toggle this switch ON to track ICASS countable devices.
- AFN Activity Distribution List: Enter an email address to specify the distribution list for AFN activities.
- Send AFN Decoder Expiration Reminders: Toggle this switch ON to send reminders to the specified email address.
Synchronization Tab
This tab allows users to configure Workflows and SAFE synchronization settings.
- Workflows Synchronization Settings: This ensures data flows both ways between ATLAS and Workflows for Oslo.
- SAFE Synchronization Settings: This allows data synchronization between SAFE and ATLAS.
How to Edit Synchronization Settings
- Click the Change button beside the synchronization option.
- Update the configurations as needed.
- Save changes to apply the updates.
