Introduction

The Assigned Tasks section in ATLAS Workflows enables users to view and manage all tasks assigned to them, whether as an individual, a group member, or a sponsor. Tasks can be grouped or displayed in a list, allowing flexibility in organization and tracking.

The tasks can also be grouped by Assignment, Task, and Role. You can also filter by Name Criteria, Workflow Category, or to Hide Pending Tasks. When data is filtered, only rows that meet the filter criteria will be displayed.

Tasks can also be reassigned to the Employee, other Service Providers, or Sponsors.

Accessing Assigned Tasks

In the left-hand sidebar under the My Work section, click on Assigned Tasks.

This will open the Assigned Tasks page displaying all tasks relevant to the logged-in user.

Understanding the Assigned Tasks Page

The Assigned Tasks page is divided into several sections and functionalities to help manage tasks effectively:

Header and Information:

A description at the top of the page outlines the purpose of the Assigned Tasks section.

It explains that tasks may be ready for completion, in progress, or awaiting dependencies.

Filters:

  • Grouped By: Organize tasks by None, Assignment, Task, or Role.
  • Filter Options: Narrow down tasks by:
    • Name Criteria
    • Workflow Category
    • Hide Pending Tasks

Task Table:

The table lists assigned tasks, with columns for:

  • Task/Assignment Name: Describes the task.
  • Workflow: Shows the associated workflow.
  • Assigned To: Displays who the task is assigned to.
  • Deadline: Indicates the task’s due date, if applicable.

Performing Actions in Assigned Tasks

Viewing Task Details:

Click on any task entry in the table to open its detailed information. This may include additional steps required or task dependencies.

Grouping Tasks:

Use the Grouped By dropdown to organize tasks by assignment, task type, or role.

Selecting None will display tasks in an ungrouped, straightforward list.

Filtering Tasks:

Use the filters to focus on specific tasks or workflows.

For example, selecting Hide Pending Tasks will exclude tasks waiting on dependencies.
