Introduction to Forms
Everyone's seen a form before. Whether it's an I-9 form or it's a medical form, forms are used everywhere, and ATLAS Workflows is no stranger to that. While forms on their own may be self explanatory, the existence of two types of forms, System Forms and Post Forms may raise a lot of questions, especially when they both seem to operate the same. ATLAS Workflows does make a distinction though, and it's for good reason. NOTE: ATLAS Workflows refers to System Forms by two names, System Forms and Universal Forms. Remember that both mean the same thing.
Navigating to Post Forms
One of the differences between both form types is how you access them. In order to access Post Forms, navigate to the toolbar at the top of your screen and click on the Administration tab.
Then, navigate to the toolbar on the left side of your screen, navigate to the Workflow Configuration category, and click Forms.
You should now be at the Manage Post Forms menu. Here you can Create New Post Forms, Import Post Forms, or Search for existing Post or System Forms. Note that System and Post forms are accessible here, because that's one of the differences between both kinds of forms.
Navigating to System Forms
In order to access System Forms, navigate to the toolbar at the top of your screen and click on the System Management tab. NOTE: You may not have access to this tab if your admin have not granted you the necessary permissions.
Then, navigate to the toolbar on the left side of your screen, navigate to the System Configuration category, and click on Manage Forms.
You should now be at the Manage Universal Forms menu. Here you can Create New System Forms, Import System Forms, or Search for an existing System Form.
System Forms versus Post Forms
System Forms and Post Forms appear to be similar in most regards. They have similar overview menus, the Create New Form and Import Form processes are the same. There are a lot of similarities, but the biggest difference between both types of forms is their function.
Where Post Forms are created from scratch by Post Admins, System Forms are created by System Administrators, and they act as templates for Post Admins to use. This makes the Task Creation process much quicker, and allows for a more streamlined ATLAS Workflows.
