Introduction

ADG READY allows users with specific permissions to create, view, edit, and delete requests.  To add a request, start by navigating to the left NavBar or select the    icon, found in the top left corner of your screen, if the NavBar isn't displayed.

Adding a New Request as a Post Requester

Navigating to "New Request"

As a Post Requester, when you enter the READy application, you will only have the ability to create new requests and view previously created/submitted requests. To create a new request for your post, click the New Request link from the left NavBar.

Note: Requests submitted by the Post Requester are submitted as an "Any" request, which means they can be fulfilled by any type of resources until the Coordinator specifies whether the request will be fulfilled by an REA, Rover, LE Exec, or Volunteer. This takes place during the approval step of the request process.

Creating Requests

When creating a new request, Post Requesters will first select a post for the request. Once a post is selected, the Bureau auto populates based on the selected post.

Post Requesters need to first read and agree that they understand the Submission Instructions. Click the "I understand" checkbox, and the request form displays for data entry.

Now displayed, are five areas requiring data:

  1. Requestor Information
  2. Requestor Supervisor and FMO Information
  3. Employee Request Details
  4. Funding Budget
  5. Watchlist

Note: some fields are auto-populated based on the Requester information existing in the system.

All data fields indicated with an asterisk (*) are required fields and must be populated prior to being able to submit the request.

Once all fields are populated, Post Requesters have the option to "Save As Draft", "Submit Request", or "Cancel this Request". If saved, the request will remain as a draft on the View Request page for further edits. If submitted, the request is sent to the Bureau Coordinators for review. If canceled, the request is deleted.

Adding a New Request as a Coordinator

Navigating to "New Request" as a Coordinator

If you are a coordinator and need to submit a new request for your bureau, click the Post dropdown in the left NavBar to display the Post options. Click the New Request link from the Post dropdown.

Creating a New Request

As a Coordinator, the New Request page displays a little different than it does for a Post Requester. The sections requiring data input are:

  1. Requesting Post Information
  2. Request Details
  3. Supervisor and FMO Information
  4. Watchlist

Creating Requests for a Specific Resource Type

One main difference between a New Request for a Post Requester and a New Request for a Coordinator, is that a Coordinator has the ability to indicate what Resource Type the request is to be fulfilled by.  When a Resource Type is selected, only Coordinators with that specific access will have the ability to view and assign the request.
