Prerequisites
To register through the ATLAS Directory My Profile page, the following prerequisites must be met:
- Employee Status: You must be a U.S. Direct Hire (USDH), Reemployed Annuitant (REA) with an active assignment.
- Position: Please note that your ATLAS Directory assignment must have a position set before you can register to AFN Now. Please contact your local Directory admins to add the position if needed.
- Access Requirements: Ensure you have the necessary credentials and permissions to access the ATLAS Directory. You must have an OKTA account in order to access ATLAS Directory and your Profile page.
If you meet these criteria, you can proceed with the registration process on the ATLAS Directory My Profile page.
How to register?
- Go to your OKTA dashboard: https://state.okta.com/
- Click on the ATLAS Directory shortcut:
- Open your profile page:
- Go to the AFN tab and make sure the AFN Now toggle in the AFN Now section is turned on (blue), confirm your information, Save and then click on the AFN Now Registration Page link:
The module will also show any error encountered during the registration process to help troubleshooting, below is the list of error types:
- E001: No record found matching email address.
- E002: Multiple records found matching given email address.
- E003: First name does not match
- E004: Last name does not match
- E005: Invalid employment type.
- E006: AFN Now not enabled.
- E007: No valid post assignment.

E008: Assignment has no position assigned.
- Enter your information in the form:
- After submitting the form the below page will show
- And you will also receive an email confirmation
- When logging in for the first time on your AFN Now account you will be prompted to set up a new password. You can go back to this same page anytime you need to manage your account.
