IAHB members will have the ability to cast their Housing Assignment vote within ATLAS Housing, based on the recommendations provided by the Housing Board Organizer at Post.

The system uses an algorithm to determine the most suitable Housing Assignment for the incoming Officer and their family (if applicable). This recommendation is based on responses from the Housing Questionnaire, as well as the Officer’s position grade and rank.

If the house that Post wishes to assign to the Officer does not appear on the recommendation list, Local Administrators and the Housing Board Organizer can use the “Add Vacant” option to make it available.

Please note that even if a house is marked as "vacant," it may not automatically appear in the recommendations. To ensure this option is secure, please follow the instructions outlined below:

  1. Access the Housing Pool page.
  2. Select the residence profile you wish to assign.
  3. Scroll down to Current Occupant Details and click on History.
  4. Click Add Vacant add the start date of the vacancy
  5. Right after that, the residence should be available as recommendation

Note: Make sure to not have duplicated or multiple "Vacant" options within the same properties, this will make the Housing Assignment confusing for local administrators.

Having multiple "Add Vacant" options will be reflected in the system as "planned"
