Resident Portal Impersonation and Navigation

The Resident Portal, together with the Residence Profiles, forms the foundation of the ATLAS Housing Application. Proper setup and configuration of both modules will provide local administrators, service providers, Inter-Agency Housing Board members, American Officers, and their families with a seamless and exceptional experience during their transition to Post.

Both platforms deliver essential information designed to simplify and streamline the PCS process.

In order to learn more about the configuration of both modules, please check the links below:

Please note that all photos uploaded to the Residence Profiles will be visible within the Resident Portal. Attachments can be configured to be either visible or hidden, according to the preferences set by the Post.

Local administrators will NOT have the ability to access the Resident Portal without impersonating American Officers

In certain special cases, American Officers serving as service providers at Post may be granted access to the App as local administrators and users, providing them with extended access to information. Examples of such roles include the General Services Officer (GSO), GSO Transition Coordinator, and GSO EPAP when assigned to relevant tasks.

Impersonating American Officers

Guidelines for Local Administrators on Impersonating American Officers to Access Resident Portal Information

Local administrators are authorized to impersonate American officers to view the information available in the officers’ Resident Portal. This functionality enables administrators to efficiently manage and support housing-related information.

Procedure to Impersonate an Officer:

  1. Navigate to the All-Occupants page within the system.

  2. Use the search function to locate the name of the American officer you wish to impersonate.

  3. Select the officer’s profile and click on the Impersonate option.

Upon impersonation, the administrator will be redirected to the Resident Portal specific to the selected officer.

Important Considerations:

  • If the officer has been officially assigned to a residence, both the officer and the impersonating local administrator will have full access to relevant information, including photos, attachments, and the residence location displayed on the map.

  • If the officer has not been assigned to a residence, access will be limited. In such cases, the administrator will only be able to view restricted information, such as the current status of the Housing Questionnaire, if Post is using this module.

This approach ensures that sensitive information is appropriately managed while enabling local administrators to support officers effectively.

By clicking on “Impersonate,” local administrators will be directed to the Officer’s Resident Portal, where they can access the following information:

  • Welcome message to the Post

  • Banner featuring iconic photos from your Post

  • Housing assignment photos

Please note that this information is visible only when local administrators have configured the Resident Portal page appropriately via the Manage Local Settings page. For detailed instructions, please click here

Clicking on “View More Details” allows users to access the residence photo gallery, view the location on the map, and explore various types of attachments.

Local administrators will not be able to take any actions on behalf of the American Officer
