Introduction

The Classified Categories section allows Content Managers or Administrators to manage the available categories for Classified Ads.

 

Managing Classified Categories

Navigate to Content Management > Classified Categories.

On this page, you can view the following columns: Title, Color, and Enabled.

⚠️Note: Read the purple banner carefully, as it will provide you with important instructions and notes.

• Title: The name of the Classified Category.
• Color: A unique color code associated with each Category.
• Enabled: A toggle switch to enable or disable each Category, making it visible on the Dashboard.

To activate all Categories, at the top right, toggle the Enable Classifieds switch to the ON. All Categories will then be visible on the Dashboard. If toggled OFF, the Classifieds section will disappear from the Dashboard.

Customize Category Details

You can easily customize your Classified Categories to better match your site's needs.

Edit a Title

To change a Category title, locate the Category under the Title column. Click the text field and enter the desired name.

⚠️ Note: There are three predefined categories, and only five of them can be edited. The categories For Sale, Services, and Recommendations are pre-made, and their names cannot be edited. However, you can still change their colors and enable or disable them.

Once the title is changed, a popup message will appear to confirm the change was successful.

Change the Color

To update a Category's color, click the color box or the hex code under the Color column. A color picker will appear. Select your desired color from the options provided.

Enable or Disable Categories

Use the toggle switch under the Enabled column to enable or disable a Category.

⚠️ Note: At least three Classified Categories must be enabled.

• Enabled: The category is visible on the Dashboard.
• Disabled: The category is hidden from the Dashboard.
